Feature Focus: Splitting Documents within Bundledocs

At Bundledocs, we are firmly focused on helping our users create professional bundles with ease. In order to help make the process of creating bundles easier, we are continually developing and expanding our standard service offering. In this Feature Focus post, we will highlight one very useful feature within Bundledocs - Split Range.

What is the Split Range Feature? In short, our Split Range is designed to help users easily 'Split' or divide any uploaded file into smaller sections. You decide how it is split - the number of sections and how many pages should be contained within each section. It is particularly useful for anyone working with large files or scanned documents.

Let's take a closer look at the steps involved...

With Bundledocs we can upload any file type. For this example, we have uploaded a scanned PDF which we would like divided into two separate files.

With Bundledocs, you can quickly and easily split any uploaded file. Remember, you choose how the file is divided. The new 'split' files become immediately available.

That's it. To complete, we will re-name our new split files by simply double clicking the file name. If you would like any more information, get in touch with the Bundledocs Team Today!

Software that Creates Electronic Bundles & Hard Copy Bundles

With the rise of trial technology and the increased use of mobile devices and tablets within the legal field, it is becoming increasingly important for legal professionals to access their bundles in both electronic and paper format. That's where Bundledocs comes in.

With Bundledocs bundling software you don't have to choose between electronic bundles (e-bundles) or hard-copy paper bundles - you can have both!

How does it work? Bundledocs automatically produces an electronic version of your bundle (e-bundle). It is immediately accessible from any device and can be securely forwarded to any third party. But that's not all. If you require a hard-copy or traditional paper version of your bundles, this can be easily produced by simply pressing print. Let's take a look at how this is done...

But that's not the best bit. One of the main advantages with using Bundledocs is the automation of time consuming tasks such as indexing, hyperlinking, bookmarking etc. This can save considerable amounts of time and resources when creating bundles and provides the flexibility to change/amend any bundle created. Just think - if documents arrive in at the last minute - there is no need to re-do indexing, paginating or any bundling. Bundledocs will do it all for you!

Feature Focus: Preview Case Documents within Bundledocs

Recently, Bundledocs released a new feature which enables users to preview the contents of any file or document uploaded into Bundledocs.

For those familiar with Bundledocs, you may be aware of our File Download feature. This allows users to either download an original copy or a PDF version of any file uploaded to Bundledocs. This is great as it enables users to have full access to their case files - even if you're not in the office - and means your account can be used to store any documents related to your case. So what is this new feature? Even though users can still utilise our File Download feature, in some cases downloading individual files may not be convenient. This is where our new Preview feature comes in.

Preview enables users to quickly view the contents of a file without having to download each file individually to your computer. It's simple to use. Simply double click any file to reveal a pop-up preview window (as shown below). This would be great if you are working collaboratively with our team members or if you would simply like to quickly review the contents of a specific document.

Legal Brief Building Software with Online Collaboration

Bundledocs is specifically designed to help legal professionals with every aspect of creating briefs, from beginning to end. We know that collaborating and sharing legal briefs or bundles is important, so we have integrated this as part of our legal brief bundling software. Let's take a quick look at some of the collaborative features available within Bundledocs...

1. Forward your brief to a third party

With Bundledocs you can forward security protected briefs to any third party - regardless of their location. This is particularly useful for users generating large legal briefs, which may be too large to send via email.

2. Share a case with others

Share case documents with third parties to enable them to access any file or document contained within a case/bundle. All sharing is security protected, you choose what case to share and the recipient is not required to have a Bundledocs account in order to access documents.

3. Migrate a case

Easily migrate a case to another user. This will move the entire case including all the files and settings from one Bundledocs account to another account.

4. Work in groups

It is easy to work together in groups to create legal briefs. Simply share a case with other team members allowing them to access and edit cases. Unlike the 'Migrate a Case' option the case will not be removed from your account, but instead will grant access to other users to also work on the brief. This is great if a number of people or departments need to work on a case. This will ensure that everyone is working from the same page and there is no duplication of work done.
