Q&A: What types of documents does Bundledocs support?

Questions_and_Answers_Bundledocs_Blog.png

This week we met with our support team to talk all things Bundledocs. We are always interested to find out what people would like to know so we can cover it right here on the blog!

One question our support team have been asked time and time again, is what types of documents Bundledocs supports. So we will get this answered in today's 'Questions and Answers' post (thanks for the idea guys!).

We need to collate documents of different formats together. These can include word, pdfs, images, emails, spreadsheets etc. We also need to be able to handle large documents (with thousands of pages). Is this possible with Bundledocs?

We Accept All Documents

Let's keep it short - Bundledocs accepts all document types. When preparing a hard-copy bundle you can upload any type of file such as word, pdf, emails, excel spreadsheets, the list goes on... Not only that, we have integrated with the world's leading case management systems, document management systems and online storage providers to even make the process of uploading your files simple. Check out our Bundledocs Integration Partners here.

Then if you are creating an electronic bundle or electronic binder, you can upload video files or audio files and include these in your bundle. How is this possible you ask? If you read our recent 'Bundledocs New Feature Release - August 2017', you may have seen that we introduced our new 'Generate as Source Zip' feature. This is great as it allows you to prepare bundles that contain video, audio or any file in it's original format.

Don't Worry About Document Size

The great thing about Bundledocs is you don't have to worry about working with large volume bundles or large document sizes. Bundledocs unique design means that computational resources can be added/subtracted in-line with demand. For you, this means that regardless of the size of bundles you are working on, this won't slow down your pc and you can continue to work efficiently. Excellent news!

Bundledocs New Feature Release - October 2017

It's that time of the month again. The time when we give you a quick run-through of everything that's new in the world of Bundledocs. Want to discover more? Then keep on reading...

The latest feature releases

This month our team have added a number of new enhancements and additions to Bundledocs. So what's new? To begin with, Bundledocs now allows you upload unsupported files. For example, it is now possible to upload audio and video files. These can then be securely shared with others directly from Bundledocs and will be represented by a PDF containing metadata from the file. What could be better.

That's not all. Even though you can easily copy a complete bundle in Bundledocs, we have had a number of requests asking it if it possible to copy a section from one bundle to another. You asked, now it's here!

Another handy feature that has been added is the ability to edit the text that appears above the pages on your index page. By default the text 'Page(s)' appears but you now have the option to change it. This works great for anyone preparing their bundle in another language.

Never worry about late documents again.

Great news for anyone that uses our late inserts feature. We have added yet another enhancement when preparing a bundle with documents that arrive in at the last minute. Now you have the option to generate a version of your bundle that contains only the late insert documents and the updated index.

Interested to learn more? We released a post earlier in the month taking you through everything there is to know about Bundledocs Late Inserts. We have included the links to these below:

Bundledocs offers you a range of options so you can significantly reduce your paper waste - both in the creation and the delivery of your bundles. However, in some cases, it may be necessary for you to print your bundles, binders or booklets. If this is the case, then we have the solution for you.

Printing_Court_Books.png

In a recent post, we mentioned that the Supreme Court of Victoria (including the Court of Appeal) issued a notice earlier in the year regarding the form in which court books, books of authorities and appeal books should be printed. They stated that they should be printed in hard copy and printed double sided. If you missed it, then check it out here: Double-Sided Printing of Court Books, Books of Authorities and Bundles in Bundledocs.

For anyone that uses Bundledocs, you're in luck. We have everything you need.

It will simply add in a blank page anywhere needed to ensure that the beginning of each new section always appears right. Perfect for anyone that needs to print double sided.

Interested to see how it works? We have created a short video 'Print Bundles in Hard Copy with Bundledocs' so you can see it in action.

How does Bundledocs double-sided printing work?

2. Print Double Sided: Within the 'Section Pages' area, select the option 'Generate with Vacate Pages' and generate.
