Bundledocs New Feature Release - April 2018

We met with our Development team to find out the great new features that have been added to Bundledocs recently. Ready to check out what's new this month?

LEAVE LONGER MESSAGES.

For starters, we've expanded our 'Forward Bundle to Third Party' area to allow you type even longer messages when securely sharing your bundle with others. That means the message box will automatically expand as you type. Longer messages here you come! 

 

YOUR INDEX PAGE. YOUR CHOICE.  

Depending on what you're working on you may need to create different types of index pages. The great thing about Bundledocs is you have the flexibility to draft your bundle again and again until you get it just right. 

Here are some of the new ways you can customise your index page:

  • Add an Extra Column. Creating the perfect index page just got better. You can now easily add an extra column into your index page. Include any text you need and even choose to include/exclude it in each version of your bundle created. Simple!

  • Include More Text. Ever wanted to add text beneath your document description? Now you can! Any text added will appear beneath your document description and will be automatically hyperlinked for quick and easy access. Click and you're there.

  • Change Font Colour. If you need to change the font colour for your sections, document descriptions or even page numbers, this is now possible. Choose your house style or any colour you need. It's up to you.

We find the best way to get familiar with these great new features is to test them out for yourself. Login to Bundledocs today and have a play around. We know you're going to love them!

 

REMEMBER TO USE TEMPLATES!

Sometimes it's not just new features that can be exciting to discuss. Before we let you go, let's talk about something that has been around for some time - templates!

Templates are a great feature for firms looking to adhere to house styles, or anyone who finds themselves continuously creating the same types of bundles (or even applying the same customisations) over and over again. If this is the case, then templates can be a real lifesaver. 

When discussing the awesome new features that have been added this month, we thought it was a great time to re-visit templates. Using templates means you don't have to worry about the various generate options, nor do you need to remember which options you need to use. Simply do it once and the templates will handle the rest from there!

Exciting New Feature Releases

Every month our development team release new features and enhancements to ensure Bundledocs is the best bundle preparation tool around. We even work in short development sprints to ensure we bring you even more helpful features.... and sooner. 

Over the last few months our team have developed some great new features we know you'll love. For starters, we've updated our late inserts feature and added more functionality to our iManage integration.  We've also added even more ways to customise your bundle and are about to launch a whole range of new annotation features. Exciting stuff!

It's hard to believe that March is almost over - where does the time go! On the plus side, that means we've added even more features to Bundledocs. We know you're going to just love them! Ready to see what's new?

GOOD NEWS FOR IMANAGE USERS

As many of you are aware, Bundledocs is fully iManage integrated. This means you can quickly and easily create complete bundles directly from iManage and even save completed bundles back into iManage with the click of a button. What could be easier. To learn more check-out our 'Create an Electronic Binder from iManage - Video' and our '3 Reasons Every iManage User Needs Bundledocs'.

This month, our team have released a number of great new features for our iManage users. You can now choose to upload documents in order of document number, document date, or document description. Better still, this can be done in both ascending and descending order. 

That's not all. We have also enhanced our integration piece to allow you create a bundle from any of your templates. This is a great time-saver for those that find themselves repeatedly creating the same types of bundles.

WORKING WITH ANNOTATIONS JUST GOT BETTER

Over the last few months, our Development team have been busing rolling out a range of new annotation features. Including the ability to highlight important text, add comments and even completely redact confidential information, ensuring no trace-ability. 

Our unique approach to annotations means annotations are applied to the document(s) rather than on the completed bundle. The advantage of this is if any changes need to be applied to the document, your annotations are not lost. It also allows you the flexibility to generate your bundle with or without the annotations included.

In our latest release you now have the ability to add private annotations to your bundle so they're only visible to you. Great when collaboratively working with others. That's not all. When previewing and generating your bundle you also have the option to customise who's annotations you see and what annotation type you want to include in your bundle. Good right?

Late Inserts Just Got Better

When it comes to preparing bundles, Bundledocs thinks of everything. One feature that comes in quite handy is our ability to handle late insert documents. For anyone that doesn't know, this allows you add documents (into your bundle) at a later stage without disrupting the existing numbering, indexing etc. Then when combined with our secure share or collaborative features this really works a treat! If you would like a refresh on how it all works then check out our Feature Focus post - Bundledocs Late Inserts or check out our complete training manual. 

What new features have been added this month? We are delighted to reveal this latest release makes it possible for you to choose what format your late insert numbering appears in. Now you can add numerical (3:1, 3:2, 3:3, 3:4 etc.) or alphabetical numbering (3:A, 3:B, 3:C, 3:D etc.). This will then automatically appear on late insert pages and in the updated index. But remember, the great thing about late inserts is it will not affect your existing numbering sequence! 

 

Email Attachments Now Supported

This month our team have added some exciting new updates when it comes to emails. As you may know, you have always been able to upload emails to include in your bundle. But our latest release will now make it possible to include your email attachments too. 

Need to know how it works? This is all possible with the click of a button. Simply turn on the 'Use Email Attachments Where Possible' option within your account settings or download a copy of our manual for a full step-through of our new email attachments feature.

Even more ways to customise your bundle

When it comes to creating the perfect bundle, Bundledocs offers a whole range of options so you can ensure your bundle looks just right. For example you can easily include/exclude whole sections (all with the click of a button), include and amend document date formats, customise your index page, page numbering... the list goes on. 

As you may be already aware, with Bundledocs you can effortlessly work with single section, multi-section, sub-sectioned bundles and even volumes. In our latest feature release, our team have added a new option that allows you place a document underneath another document - and have it appear slightly indented (or at another level) in your index page. 

This new feature can be applied using the 'Edit Details' button. The latest feature releases 

This month our team have added a number of new enhancements and additions to Bundledocs. So what's new? To begin with, Bundledocs now allows you upload unsupported files. For example, it is now possible to upload audio and video files. These can then be securely shared with others directly from Bundledocs and will be represented by a PDF containing metadata from the file. What could be better.  

That's not all. Even though you can easily copy a complete bundle in Bundledocs, we have had a number of requests asking it if it possible to copy a section from one bundle to another. You asked, now it's here!  

Another handy feature that has been added is the ability to edit the text that appears above the pages on your index page. By default the text 'Page(s)' appears but you now have the option to change it. This works great for anyone preparing their bundle in another language.

 

Never worry about late documents again. 

Great news for anyone that uses our late inserts feature. We have added yet another enhancement when preparing a bundle with documents that arrive in at the last minute. Now you have the option to generate a version of your bundle that contains only the late insert documents and the updated index.

Event time at the London Law Expo 2017 

The Bundledocs team were delighted to be showcasing at the 2017 London Law Expo this month. This year's event was the biggest yet and was spread over 2 floors, included over 6 presentation stages, 70 expert speakers and over 80 exhibitors (including Bundledocs!).
